Upgradeables

Two are hidden across the 8 Maverick stages. In Cyber Space, watch for the yellow electric balls slowing you down on the speed run — Soul Body (X) or Kuuenbu (Zero) can clear them out of the way. In Marine Base, jump off the last ramp onto the platform, tap the jump button lightly, then dash — fly up, break through two crates, and grab the tank. Dash too hard and you'll overshoot it entirely.

Take the lowest possible route through the ice block section, climb the vertical shaft past the Mets off to the side, then backtrack to the earlier ice blocks — the Weapon Tank is frozen inside one of them. Break the ice to claim it. Easy to grab by accident if you take the other route through the chaos leading up to it.

A one-time pickup that permanently doubles your lives on this stage — instead of the usual 2, you'll always start it with 4 from now on, whether you're loading a save or continuing after a Game Over. Run to the right end of the ice slopes and climb the wall to find it, then hit it with Lightning Web (X) or Kuuenbu (Zero) to bring it down and collect it.

One hidden in each of the 8 Maverick stages, usually off the main path or behind a wall only reachable once you've picked up that area's own weapon or armor piece. Collecting all 8 gives both X and Zero a substantially longer health bar for the rest of the game — worth backtracking for once you have the mobility to reach them.
