Enemies

Nemesis, zombies, and Raccoon City's other threats — where they show up and how to put them down.

Zombies (Citizens and Mercenaries)

Encounter

Citizens, police officers, and fallen U.B.C.S. mercenaries reanimated by the T-Virus. While slow alone, tight groups can easily corner Jill. Use the dodge mechanic right before an incoming grab to escape unharmed.

Location
Uptown Streets, Downtown, R.P.D. Precinct, Raccoon Hospital
Recommendations
  • Beretta M92F / Benelli Shotgun
  • Aim upward at point-blank range with the Shotgun for guaranteed decapitations

Cerberus (Zombie Dobermans)

Encounter

Infected police Dobermans. Highly agile pack hunters that leap toward Jill's throat. A single blast from the shotgun or an enhanced handgun bullet knocks them flat to the ground.

Location
Uptown Streets, R.P.D. Approach Alley, Raccoon City Park
Recommendations
  • Benelli M3 Shotgun or Handgun
  • Knock them down with a single shot and wait for them to stand before firing again

Crows

Encounter

Scavenger birds infected by feeding on corpses across the city. They dive-bomb in flocks when alerted by running footsteps or gunfire.

Location
Black Jack Bar Alley, City Park Grounds
Recommendations
  • Run and ignore
  • Conserve ammunition unless blocked in a narrow doorway

Drain Deimos

Encounter

Mutated parasitic arthropods that absorbed T-Virus contaminated fluids. Capable of scaling walls and ceilings with ease, ambushing from above to drain spinal fluid.

Location
Power Substation, Downtown Walkways, Waste Disposal Plant
Recommendations
  • Benelli Shotgun or Flame Rounds
  • Keep distance to prevent them from dropping onto Jill from ceilings

Brain Sucker

Encounter

A deadly dual-headed variant of the Drain Deimos capable of spitting venomous acid. Aggressive jumpers that inject toxins directly upon contact.

Location
Underground Passages, Raccoon Park Pathways
Recommendations
  • Acid Rounds or Benelli Shotgun
  • Carry Blue Herbs to cure poison

Hunter Beta (MA-121)

Elite

Genetically modified reptilian B.O.W.s with enhanced speed and reddish carapace. Far deadlier than the original mansion strain; their jumping slash will decapitate Jill in a single blow if her vitality drops too low.

Location
Raccoon General Hospital, Downtown Streets (Post Clock Tower)
Recommendations
  • Acid Rounds / Freeze Rounds / M4A1 in controlled bursts
  • Keep health in Fine status — their leaping claw decapitates instantly in Danger status

Hunter Gamma

Elite

Amphibian-based B.O.W.s created by splicing human fertilized eggs with amphibian DNA. Lacking functional eyes, they track vibrations. Their unhinged jaw allows them to swallow characters whole at close range.

Location
Hospital Drainage Canal, Park Waterways
Recommendations
  • HK-P Grenade Launcher (Acid or Flame Rounds)
  • Never stand close when their mouth unhinges

Sliding Worms

Encounter

Juvenile larvae spawned by the massive Grave Digger. They slither rapidly along damp corridors and latch onto Jill's neck, continuously draining vitality.

Location
Sewers, Park Access Tunnels
Recommendations
  • M92F Handgun or sprint past
  • Step on them as you move forward

Bosses

Grave Digger (Giant Subterranean Worm)

Boss · Hard

A colossal mutated subterranean arthropod that burrows violently through rock and asphalt. In the second showdown, shooting the fallen lamp posts while the pit is flooded electrocutes the creature for massive bonus damage.

Location
Downtown Underground (Encounter 1), Park Cemetery Chasm (Encounter 2)
Recommendations
  • Grenade Launcher (Acid or Freeze Rounds) / .44 Magnum
  • Shoot fallen power poles to electrocute the monster in flooded water puddles

Nemesis-T Type (Form 1 — Tactical Pursuer)

Boss · Deadly

The base form of Umbrella's ultimate bio-organic weapon. Clad in a reinforced containment coat and armed with a rocket launcher, Nemesis can sprint as fast as Jill, burst through doors, and hoist targets by the throat with a single hand.

Location
R.P.D. Front Gates, Restaurant / Press Office, Power Substation, Cable Car
Recommendations
  • Freeze Rounds / .44 Magnum Rounds
  • Defeat him on Hard Mode for exclusive STI Eagle and Western Custom weapon parts

Nemesis-T Type (Form 2 — Tentacle Mutation)

Boss · Deadly

After taking critical damage and shedding its limiter coat, the NE-Alpha parasite goes rampant, releasing thick muscular tentacles that lash across wide areas. In the treatment room, baiting him into sulfuric acid jets dissolves his biomass rapidly.

Location
St. Michael Clock Tower Courtyard, Waste Treatment Chamber
Recommendations
  • Freeze Rounds / S&W M629 Magnum
  • Keep circling and activate acid discharge valves

Nemesis-T Type (Form 3 — Terminal Aberration)

Boss · Deadly

The final grotesque form of Nemesis after consuming a discarded Tyrant corpse. Mutated into a massive quadrupedal acid-spewing monstrosity, Jill must align and charge the three energy batteries of the experimental Sword of Paracelsus rail cannon to eradicate it before the nuclear strike arrives.

Location
Dead Factory Cargo Bay
Recommendations
  • Sword of Paracelsus Rail Cannon + .44 Magnum
  • Bait the creature into the firing line of the three powered battery relays
