Before You Start
Jill Valentine — Survival Strategy
Jill Valentine is the more forgiving of the two campaigns. Two extra inventory slots, a Lockpick that skips half the small-key hunting, and Barry Burton backing her up through the mansion's worst early scares all add up to more breathing room — though the remake's Crimson Heads and Lisa Trevor make sure that room never lasts long.
Difficulty:(Medium — the intended first playthrough)
Key Points
- Inventory Capacity: 8 slots
- Personal Item: Lockpick — opens doors and desks without small keys
- Defense Item: Combat Knife & Stun Gun (auto-equipped when grabbed)
- Key Advantage: Barry's backup, an early Grenade Launcher, and a rescue from the shotgun room's ceiling trap
Recommendations
- Burn every zombie corpse with the Kerosene Canteen as soon as you kill it — a burned zombie never comes back as a Crimson Head.
- The Lockpick never takes up inventory space, so lean on it instead of hunting for small keys whenever a door will accept either.
- Save Grenade Launcher acid and flame rounds for Hunters and Plant 42; the standard explosive rounds handle almost everything else.
- Combine herbs before storing them in the Item Box — a Green+Red mix heals fully and only costs one slot.
