Skip the Attic Stairs Slowdown
ShortcutOn faster hardware, the investigator can get stuck endlessly walking back up to the attic instead of continuing down to the 3rd floor. Having a firearm equipped when descending reliably avoids the glitch.

Optional FindNeither item is required to finish the game, but both are easy to miss — the attic never prompts you to look for them, and once you head downstairs there's no reason to come back.

The Library's Remaining Tomes
Optional FindThe library holds more reading material beyond what's needed to progress. Finding all of it costs extra Oil Lamp fuel, so it's a trade-off best made with oil to spare — or by saving beforehand and reloading once the books are found.
