Enemies
Medical Staff, Security Guards, Robots, and the four other Galerians standing between Rion and Dorothy.
Medical Staff
EncounterUnarmed hospital staff turned hostile by Dorothy's control. The weakest enemy in the game — a single charged Nalcon shot usually drops them.
- Nalcon at close range
- Attack before they notice you when possible
Security Guard
EncounterPatrol set routes and will notice Rion if he runs nearby. Walking instead of running lets you get behind them for a free first hit.
- Nalcon or Red
- Sneak up on patrolling guards instead of running past them
Rabbit (Bandages / Suit)
EncounterReanimated household staff and hotel guests. The suited variant found in Rion's House and the Babylon Hotel actually attacks with Nalcon of its own, so don't get careless at range.
- Red works especially well
- Watch out — Rabbits in suits can hit you with their own Nalcon
White Robot
EncounterSecurity robots that open fire the moment they activate. Get too close and they'll riddle you with shots before a Short finishes them; too far and they get several free hits in first.
- Short if it's available
- Otherwise Nalcon from a safe middle distance
Yellow Robot
EncounterA tougher recolor of the White Robot — more health, faster shots, and a shoulder-charge attack, usually fought three at once. Bait them into bunching up, hit the group with D-Felon, then mop up with Nalcon.
- D-Felon to group them, then Nalcon
- Never charge D-Felon while one is winding up a shot
Arabesque
EncounterBio-mechanical guardians that spawn when you disturb their incubators or power on an area. Rarely worth the AP it costs to fight them — walking past is usually the better call.
- Safe to ignore at full AP
- D-Felon makes short work of them if you need to engage
Four-Legged Arabesque
EncounterA late-game Arabesque variant that's tankier than its earlier cousins but hits far softer — a slow fight rather than a dangerous one.
- D-Felon or Appolinar
- Low damage output, so Nalcon works fine if drugs are low
Bosses
Clinic Chief Dr. Lem
Boss · EasyThe first boss and by far the shortest fight in the game. Interact with the tangle of wires in the room to trigger the confrontation — if you're close to a Short, it ends almost instantly.
- Short if it's charged and ready
- Otherwise Nalcon — the fight is over in seconds
Birdman
Boss · HardStock up on Nalcon before this fight — 3-4 vials plus a full gauge is a safe cushion, and a Skip helps too. He teleports and fires energy balls, then splits into three copies where only the first one that appeared is real; dodge the decoys' attacks but don't waste drugs on them. When all three regroup and rise into the air, run to a corner — he's about to flood the room with Nalcon. His final, most aggressive phase drops the split entirely; mix in Red between Nalcon bursts once he gets there.
- Nalcon only — he ignores Red and can't be Shorted
- Watch for the real one when he splits into three
Rainheart
Boss · HardHas four moves: a shove, a melee flurry, a fireblast, and a zombie summon. He's untouchable while airborne summoning zombies — instead, let the zombies' own falling attack kill them if it misses you, or let his fireblast burn his own summons. The best opening is hitting him with Nalcon right as he winds up the fireblast, which both damages him and cancels the attack.
- Never use Red on him — he's fully immune
- Hit him with Nalcon while he charges his fireblast to interrupt it
Rita
Boss · DeadlyA long, grueling fight — Rita spends most of it floating on a table, immune to attacks, either charging at you or hurling furniture. She's only exposed for a moment after she crashes back down, so unload Red when you get the opening and follow with Nalcon while she's staggered.
- Save Red for the brief windows she's vulnerable
- Stay ready to hit her with Nalcon right after she crash-lands
Cain
Boss · HardEscalates through four attack phases as his health drops: triple Nalcon streams, the same with lightning added, then triple Red streams, then Red with lightning. Staying close and dodging is safer than backing away during the lightning phases; during the Red phases, standing still and releasing the instant he appears is the key to not getting hit.
- Nalcon throughout — save Red for emergencies
- Stand still and time your charge for his Red 2 phases
Dorothy
Boss · DeadlyThe final boss — three separate eyeballs, each targetable on its own. She quakes to briefly stun you, warns of an incoming lightning strike with a spotlight, and sweeps a Laser left-to-right-to-left that must be dodged entirely. She won't use the Laser until her first eye is down. Whittle the eyes with Nalcon, then switch to Red once you're down to the last one or have burned through several vials of Nalcon.
- Target the three floating eyes individually, not the machine itself
- The Laser sweep is the one attack to avoid at all costs
