Finding the Handgun & Sword Key
1F West Wing BedroomMansion Key (Sword) & first Small KeyAfter the opening cutscene in the Dining Room, head back to the Main Hall to discover Wesker has vanished, leaving behind the Handgun. Proceed to the 1F West Wing bedroom (where the Guard's Diary is located) to pick up the Mansion Key (Sword) and your first Small Key.

Locating the Broken Shotgun
Unlike Jill, Chris cannot grab the working shotgun without setting off the ceiling trap. Head to the 1F West Wing storage room (below the stairs) to pick up the Broken Shotgun.

Swapping for the Remington M870 Shotgun
Take the Broken Shotgun to the 1F East Wing Shotgun Room. Pick up the working Shotgun from the wall bracket and place the Broken Shotgun onto the wall hooks to disarm the ceiling trap cleanly.

The Shotgun Headshot Technique
Shotgun Headshot DecapitationWith Chris's high accuracy, wait for zombies to get within arm's reach, aim the shotgun directly upward, and pull the trigger. This decapitates zombies 100% of the time, saving precious ammo.
