Skills

Aya's Parasite Energy abilities — how awakening and casting works, and what each offensive skill actually does in a fight.

Aya's mitochondria let her wield Parasite Energy (PE) — the skill points earned from defeating enemies. Spend accumulated EXP in the status menu to permanently awaken a new skill, then spend MP to cast an awakened skill in battle. Skills unlocked this way carry over into Replay Mode at a reduced EXP cost.

Pyrokinesis

Offensive PE — Fire

A ranged fire blast, most valuable against enemies that are only vulnerable the moment they surface or expose themselves — Divers popping out of the water to strike are a textbook target.

Features
  • MP per cast
  • Focused single-target hit
  • Cheapest offensive skill to cast, so it's the one you'll spam most
  • Doesn't hit anything beyond its target — no splash

Combustion

Offensive PE — Fire (Area)

A wide fiery burst rather than a single-target bolt — the go-to answer against Scavenger packs and other enemies that swarm in numbers instead of engaging one at a time.

Features
  • MP per cast
  • Wide-area damage that hits every enemy caught in the burst
  • Wipes out an entire pack in one cast instead of picking targets off one by one
  • Lower damage against a single target than a focused fire skill

Inferno

Offensive PE — Heavy Fire

A stronger fire skill than Pyrokinesis, effective on armored fliers like the Neo Ark Beetles — especially devastating paired with the AS12 auto shotgun's own fire-based rounds.

Features
  • MP per cast
  • Highest raw fire damage of the three offensive fire skills
  • More likely to stagger or critically wound armored targets
  • Highest MP cost of the fire skills

Necrosis

Offensive PE — Poison

Inflicts a lingering poison aura rather than direct impact damage. Beyond the damage-over-time, it interrupts enemy regeneration and strips active camouflage off cloaked enemies like the Stalker.

Features
  • MP per cast
  • Poison damage-over-time that keeps ticking after the cast lands
  • Interrupts enemy regeneration
  • Strips active camouflage off cloaked enemies
  • No burst damage on impact — the payoff comes from the poison ticking, not the initial hit

Heal

Support PE — Restoration

A direct HP restoration skill — the reason you can go several fights without touching a Recovery item, as long as you keep enough MP in reserve.

Features
  • MP per cast
  • Instantly restores a chunk of HP
  • Doesn't consume a healing item
  • One-time burst, not ongoing — you have to recast it every time you need HP back

Regenerate

Support PE — Restoration

A sustained regeneration effect rather than a single burst — cast it before a drawn-out fight or a long stretch without a save room, and let it passively cover the chip damage you take along the way.

Features
  • MP per cast
  • Gradual HP regeneration for a duration instead of one lump sum
  • Lets you keep fighting or exploring while it ticks instead of stopping to heal
  • Weaker total HP return than casting Heal outright if you can afford to stand still
