Two months after the Mansion Incident, a biological outbreak consumes Raccoon City, turning its citizens into flesh-eating zombies. Rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy arrives for his first day on the job, while Claire Redfield enters the city searching for her missing brother Chris. Separated after a truck crash, both must navigate the zombie-infested R.P.D. precinct, dark sewers, and Umbrella's underground laboratory to uncover the sinister G-Virus.
