With Riccardo gone, the note Lorenzo left earlier in the game reads very differently in hindsight. He isn't watching from the sidelines out of kindness — he's been waiting, and he wants Fiona's Azoth drained directly out of her. From this point on, treat him as a hostile pursuer, not a potential ally.

If you haven't finished it yet, run Prima Materia through the Extractor, then the processing machine, then the Synthesiser to produce the White Godstone. It opens the Scales of Justice doors gating the path toward Lorenzo's domain, and rewards the Philosopher Earrings on the way.

Pick up the Golden Candlestick on the Sol Hallway stairs. It's the key piece for the trap that's about to take Lorenzo out of the picture.

Arrange the Golden Candlestick with the flammable boxes on the Entrance Hall dais, then lure Lorenzo into position. He's slow and can't open doors on his own, which makes positioning him straightforward — trigger the trap once he's in place to cripple him badly.

Lorenzo drops the Sol Key once the trap does its work. Use it to open the Sol Room, where a Mystery Sketch sits on the table — examining it reveals the existence of the House of Truth, the domain Lorenzo has been hiding behind his frail act this whole time.
