    Magma Dragoon's stage, Volcano, winds down into an active volcanic base — rising lava, sudden fire geysers, and falling chunks of molten rock. Keep moving; standing still near an open lava stretch is rarely safe for long.

    Right at the start of Area 2, the Heart Tank is on a very high platform. Zero reaches it with a simple Kuuenbu double jump.

    Difficulty

    Aggressive, fast, and dangerous up close. Trade in short bursts right after his lunges and don't linger in his face. Defeating him hands you Ryuenjin and completes the Maverick hunt.

    • Fire lunges across the arena
    • Flame breath
    • Rising uppercut at close range
    Strategy
    • The toughest of the eight for Zero — his rising uppercut punishes a careless close-in
    • Punish the recovery after each fire lunge, then dash back out before the uppercut
    • Kuuenzan gives you a safer aerial poke than committing to a ground combo
