1. Boss Battle: Metal Gear REX (Phase 1 - Radome)
Liquid Snake climbs into the cockpit of Metal Gear REX and boots up the nuclear walker's systems:
Metal Gear REX (Phase 1)
Boss · Very HardNuclear-Equipped Bipedal Walker.
Strategy- Weak against: Stinger missiles fired directly into the circular left shoulder radome sensor.
- Lob Chaff Grenades at the start to blind REX's automated targeting computer and missile lock-on.
- Switch to first-person view with the Stinger launcher and lock onto the circular dish radome sensor mounted on its left shoulder.
- Constantly stay on the move to avoid the blue ventral laser sweep and crushing foot stomps.
- Land 8 to 10 solid Stinger hits on the radome to deplete its initial health bar.

2. The Heroic Sacrifice of Gray Fox
Crippling the radome triggers a legendary cinematic sequence: Frank Jaeger (Cyborg Ninja) drops down from the gantry ceiling, slicing off REX's radome sensor and saving Snake's life while imparting his parting words: "We're not tools of the government or anyone else. Fighting was the only thing I was ever good at, but at least I always fought for what I believed in...".
Liquid brutally crushes the Ninja beneath REX's massive foot, forcing the cockpit canopy to open manually.

3. Boss Battle: Metal Gear REX (Phase 2 - Exposed Cockpit)
With the radome destroyed and the cockpit exposed, Phase 2 begins:

Boss · Very HardLiquid Snake's Exposed Cockpit.
Strategy- Weak against: Direct Stinger missile impacts into the open cockpit hatch.
- Maintain maximum distance.
- REX unleashes homing missile volleys and heavy machine-gun sprays.
- Evade diagonally and fire Stinger missiles directly into the exposed cockpit where Liquid is strapped in.
- After 6 or 7 direct missile impacts, REX's reactor violently explodes.

4. Hand-to-Hand Melee Duel: Liquid Snake
Snake awakens atop the burning crown of the destroyed REX facing Liquid Snake, with the Pentagon initiating a 3-minute airstrike countdown:
Liquid Snake (Bare-Knuckle Brawl)
Boss · Very Hard (3-Minute Time Limit)FOXHOUND Leader.
Strategy- Weak against: Hand-to-hand punch-kick combos and knocking him off the platform edge.
- This confrontation is strictly hand-to-hand with zero firearms.
- String together classic punch-punch-kick combos to stagger his guard.
- When Liquid bends his knees to charge in a high-speed dash, sidestep at the last split-second.
- Circle behind his back and land a full combo, pushing him toward the platform rim to send him falling into the fiery wreckage below.

5. High-Speed Jeep Escape & Epilogue
Regrouping with your surviving companion (Meryl in the Good Ending or Otacon in the Alternate Ending):

Descend the stairs into the subterranean vehicle depot and mount the rear of the Military Jeep, seizing control of the mounted heavy machine gun.

During the high-speed escape through the drainage tunnel, switch to first-person view and lay down continuous suppressive fire on enemy checkpoints to blow open security gates.

Liquid Snake pursues in a second jeep firing an assault rifle: maintain sustained machine-gun fire on his vehicle until both jeeps crash violently at the tunnel exit.

Liquid staggers from the wreckage with rifle raised for the kill... only to suddenly collapse and die as the FOXDIE virus claims his life.
Post-Credits Phone CallDo NOT turn off the console during the ending credits: listen to the secret conversation between Revolver Ocelot and the President of the United States.
