Operation Snake Eater — The Return

Weeks later, Snake re-enters the same territory under the codename Snake Eater. Your new orders: kill The Boss, rescue Sokolov again, and destroy the Shagohod.

• Make your way back through Dremuchij to Rassvet. This time, Sokolov isn't there — instead you meet EVA, an infiltrated spy who hands you your first suppressed sidearm (Mk22) and a lethal backup (M1911A1).

Leaving the meeting room, you're ambushed by the Ocelot Unit among the ruins.

• Throw grenades into their group to break their coordination before they can flank you.

• Pick them off one at a time by moving across the rooftop and under the floor of the building instead of fighting in the open.

  Use the Verticality

  The ruins have multiple levels — staying above or below the Ocelot soldiers keeps you out of their crossfire while you thin them out.

Once the ambush is cleared, push on toward the military base.

• Cross the dark lake at Chyornyj Prud, then advance to Bolshaya Past's electrified trenches.
• Use the thermal goggles to spot rope traps, guard dogs, and minefields before you walk into them.
• Duck into the warehouses along the way to restock on equipment before continuing toward the trenches themselves.
