Out of the caves, you reach the waterlogged estuary of Ponizovje.

• Swim submerged to avoid alerting the hovercraft patrols overhead.
• Inside the large interior warehouse, hide behind wooden crates, silently clear the ground-floor guards, and take the stairs up to the exit rather than fighting through the open floor.
• The exit leads into the dense southern forest of Graniny Gorki.

Slip into the research facility disguised as a scientist. The goal here is to find the weapons designer Aleksandr Granin, who gives you the key that opens the way to the main fortress. Play this whole section in stealth — stay in the disguise and avoid raising an alarm rather than shooting your way through.

He never fights up close — this is a tense, patient tracking duel, not a firefight. Getting tranquilized sends you back to redo the approach.
