Back to the Mansion — Hunters & the Trophy Room
The Sliding Wall Trap
- 1
Reaching the Rest Room
At your item box, take the Shotgun and its ammo. Head upstairs to the Rest Room, and use the Helmet Key on the door inside, next to the fireplace.
- 2
Solving the Sliding Walls
Move FastThe walls in this room are lined with paintings and slide shut without warning — getting caught between them hurts badly.
Statue Puzzle SolutionPush the statue straight to the far end of the room, then run back around behind the wall panels. Press the button there, hurry back to the statue, and push it into the empty space on the left to insert it. If a wall catches you mid-push, back off and repeat the sequence.
A secret door opens once the statue's in place. Grab an ammo reload inside, then descend through the hole in the floor.
The Underground Corridor
- 3
The Eagle Medallion
Hidden Basement RoomEagle MedallionFind a book on the floor and examine it — hidden inside is the Eagle Medallion. Take George Trevor's Diary nearby, then press the switch on the tombstone before heading back upstairs and down through the same hole again.
- 4
Fixing the Kitchen Elevator
You're now in an underground corridor. Kill the spiders here with your handgun — they go down easily — and take the Mansion B1 Map and some shotgun shells. Cross the door, clear the zombies beyond (grab a dagger), and head to the back to repair the elevator's electrical supply. Continue through to the Kitchen, clear its zombies, and ride the elevator down.
The Trophy Room
- 5
Reaching the Concrete Passage
Clear the zombies in the Concrete Passage. Of the three doors here, the double one is locked and the side room has nothing you have space for yet, so take the last door into the Hall of Mirrors. Partway down is another door leading to the West Wing Interior Stairs and the Medical Storage Room — deposit what you don't need, then load out with the Handgun, its ammo, the Helmet Key, and the Blue Gem. Head back upstairs and use the Helmet Key on the left door.
- 6
Gems Before the Eagle Turns
You're in the Trophy Room: a bull's head and a deer's head sit on opposite walls, each with a gem for an eye, and a mechanical eagle in the middle tracks your movement. Grab the document, grenades, and a dagger on the way in, then push the two pieces of furniture toward the heads.
Grab the Gems in the DarkFlip the light switch by the door off, then climb up and take the gems from each head's eye before the eagle statue turns to spot you.
You'll come away with the Blue Gem, Red Gem, and Yellow Gem.
The Tiger Bust & Yawn's Return
- 7
A Hunter Through the Window
Head downstairs to the North Corridor — a Hunter attacks through a window here. Without a Grenade Launcher, the Shotgun at close range or a spare Magnum round both work; just don't let it corner you.
- 8
The Tiger Bust Room
Clear the zombies ahead and duck into the hidden mini-corridor to reach the Tiger Bust Room. Insert the Yellow Gem and Blue Gem into the statue's eyes for an MO Disc and shotgun shells. Back at your item box, deposit the Red Gem and the Handgun with its ammo, then load out with the Shotgun, Magnum, and their ammunition, plus a herb mix containing blue herb — six slots means you'll be trading items in and out more than Jill does. Save your game.
- 9
Yawn's Second Fight
Yawn (Giant Snake)
Boss · MediumHead upstairs and take the door at the end into the Hall of Mirrors, then left to the far door into the Death Corridor. Use the Helmet Key on the upper door to reach the Library, where Yawn attacks again. Either weapon handles it — circle around its coils and keep firing.
Strategy- Shotgun or Magnum both work well
- Circle to avoid its lunges while firing
When it dies, it knocks a bookshelf loose, dropping a blue Volume 2 book — examine it to reveal the Wolf Medallion.
The Long Room & the Emblem Key
- 10
Back to the Concrete Passage
Cross back through the Hall of Mirrors, past the angel statues, to the far door — this leads back to the Concrete Passage via the kitchen elevator route. Grab the ammo and Battery in the small side room.
Crimson HeadsZombies you killed earlier down here without burning them may have turned into Crimson Heads by now — approach carefully.
Ride the elevator up, cross the Kitchen, clear the Hunters in the corridor beyond, and pass through the Dining Room back to the Main Hall. Drop off any ammo and the Battery you don't need yet.
- 11
The Long Room & the Mirror Room
Open the last remaining door on the ground floor into the Long Room — a gallery. Take the diary and ink ribbon, then head through the back door into a secret Mirror Room. Clear the zombie or Hunter inside, then take the dagger, a Jewelry Box, and a herb, and return to your item box.
- 12
The Emblem Key
Combine the Jewelry Box with the Red Gem to reveal a sliding puzzle — arrange its pieces in the correct order to open it and claim the Emblem Key. Load out with the Handgun, Shotgun, their ammunition, the Crank, the Battery, and the key before moving on.
- 13
The Spencer Family Crest
Head for the door with the failing handle, in the Dark Corridor, and use the Emblem Key on the door bearing the Spencer family crest — its last lock, so discard it once you're through. Inside, grab shotgun shells, a Battery Reload, and a stone-and-metal object.
Saving Rebecca
- 14
A Hunter in the Small Library
You hear screaming — Rebecca must be upstairs. Run for the stairs, cross into the C-Shaped Corridor, and head to the Small Library, where a Hunter has her cornered. Kill it before it can land a finishing blow.
Don't Take Too LongIf you're too slow reaching her after hearing the scream, Rebecca doesn't survive the encounter.
Once she's safe, tell her to keep her guard up and press on alone — you have to keep moving before the mansion's threats catch up to both of you.
- 15
Toward the Garden Elevator
Head back to the garden, cross the small dam using the crank if it's drained, and find the small elevator that needed a Battery earlier. Use it now to ride up, then look for the way down into the tunnels beneath the courtyard.
