    The Grenade Launcher

The engine car has a Grenade Launcher attachment and about 20 grenades on the floor — grab them, refill from the save panel's box if you stashed any earlier, and attach the launcher to your assault rifle. Save here.

Take Boris's Cigarette Case out of the box one last time and reread the poem on it — memorize it, it's the key to the final puzzle. Head through to the cockpit, where a memo explains you can separate the engine from the rest of the train.

    Separating the Engine

    Required for the best ending

It isn't mandatory to survival, but it is what determines whether you get the best ending. Use the panel to the left of the cockpit to separate the engine — Christina, Billy, and the Ambassador are all safely in the rear cars. Jack is now alone on the runaway engine.

    The Final Warhead

    Nose of the train

Head outside onto the front of the train. At the very nose, recall the poem from Boris's lighter and open the final warhead's mechanism — a spinning dial that lands on a star, a moon, or a Russian monument, each requiring a specific wire to be cut before it moves on:

Cut the wrong wire and it's over. Get all three right and Mason's helicopter — furious that he was tricked with a fake disc — swings in for one last fight.

    Final Boss: Philip Mason

    Philip Mason

    Difficulty

This fight lives or dies on how comfortable you are with dodging and quick-turning.

    Attacks
    • Missiles fired from the helicopter
    • Constant repositioning to throw off your aim
    Strategy
    • Equip the grenade launcher — it's the only weapon that hurts him here.
    • Move side to side along the nose of the train as he chases and fires missiles.
    • Wait for a clean shot rather than firing blind; it takes roughly six grenades to bring him down.
    S Scenario only

Instead of a helicopter fight, an injured Mason attacks Jack hand-to-hand after the chopper goes down — one grenade launcher shot finishes him for good.

    Paris

Jack leaps clear as the chopper explodes ahead of the train. The battered Blue Harvest limps into Paris: the Ambassador is reunited with his family and returns Jane's pendant, and Jack reveals to Christina that the real Secret Information Disc was safe with him the whole time. Roll credits — and if every condition above was met, an "EXCELLENT" rating instead of "TRY AGAIN."
