    The Car 4 VIP Room

Back on the Blue Harvest's roof, the only unexplored area left is Car 5. Head down into Car 4: past a terrorist in the central control room and a knife-wielder further along, take the stairs up to a bathroom that looks just like the VIP area back in Car 10.

    • Save if you like, then pull the Gold Keycard from the box and use it to open the only other door on this floor.
    • Clear the guard inside, then check the cabinets by the entrance — one holds an SP's coat with a second handgun in it.
    • Combine the two handguns from your item menu to unlock dual-wielding (not recommended for regular use — it burns through ammo fast for little extra damage).
    • Drop the Gold Keycard back in the box before heading downstairs.

    The Hidden Hatch

Back on the first floor, a small room off the control area holds the mechanism for a hatch under the train — the normal route into Car 5 is sealed, so this is how you get in. The panel here has three buttons, A, B, C left to right; press them in the sequence:

    A, C, B, C

The hatch releases, and an FMV shows Jack climbing down and under the train into Car 5.

The Killing Robot and the Machine Gun

Upstairs, a small killing robot ambushes on sight — crouch and unload on it immediately before it drains your health. Grab what it drops, then check the shelf at the end of the hall for a Machine Gun.

Back the other way, two crouched guards ambush when you get close; once they're down, a control panel in the back of the room switches something off — you'll find out what shortly.

    The Laser Fences

Before continuing, swing back to a save point and pull the Night Vision Goggles and the Crossbow out of the box.

Put the goggles on before going any further

In Car 5's unexplored room, you'll hear buzzing. Without the night vision goggles, the room's laser fences are effectively invisible.

Cross carefully, grab the rope partway through, and hit the switch at the far end to permanently disable the lasers (and the electrified floor they were protecting).

    The IC Chip

Beyond that door is a huge electrified floor with something sitting on a platform in the middle.

    • Take the small elevator up to the balcony.
    • Combine the rope and the Crossbow from your inventory to make a grappling line.
    • Use it at the edge of the balcony, then hold left to avoid the electric bursts coming up from the floor as Jack crosses.
    • On the far side, drop down and take the IC Chip from the platform — the electrified floor shuts off once you do.
  1. 6

    Christina in Trouble

Cross the now-safe floor into Car 4. Christina radios in trouble; hurry back through Car 5 and Car 6 to the infirmary, killing the guard in your way.

An FMV shows Jack shooting down a soldier about to kill Christina — but Billy and Mason are both missing. Boris comes over the intercom: bring the IC chip to Car 12, or Billy dies. Christina heads for Car 4 to search for the Ambassador. Save when the game offers — this is the end of Disc 1.

    S Scenario only

In the alternate scenario, the moment you pick up the IC chip, gas knocks Jack out and he wakes up tied to a chair in a church hideout in Germany, with Boris taking the chip and leaving him for dead. You briefly play as Christina, who snuck along hidden in the terrorists' truck: clear the church of guards, find a key in the basement/hangar area, free Jack, and the two of them steal a small jet parked in the hangar to fly back and rejoin the train at Car 6, right where this chapter picks back up. Everything else in this chapter plays out the same either way.
