    Duel with the Giant Chaser

    Mining Machinery Hangar

Entering the pitch-black central hangar triggers a clash with the pack leader:

Giant Chaser (Phase 1 — The Dark Hangar)

    Boss · Medium

First bout in the mine. Knocking it down yields Kyle's dropped SIG P229 Handgun and a Second Fuse.

    Attacks
    • High-velocity rush attack following a shrill bellow
    • Forward ramming knockdown slam
    Strategy
    • The chamber is pitch black: shoot the 4 explosive fuel barrels surrounding the central machinery to ignite them and light up the room.
    • Detonating a barrel while the boss is nearby inflicts massive immediate blast damage.
    • Listen closely: when it unleashes its distinct roar, dodge perpendicular to its path and counterattack its flank with the M4A1.
    • Stay alert: following a brief cutscene, the beast undergoes a violent cellular mutation for round two:

Giant Chaser (Phase 2 — Awakened Behemoth)

      Boss · Hard

The fully mutated Chaser is significantly faster and more lethal. Once its body dissolves into ash, the route is secured.

      Attacks
      • Massive leap and crushing ceiling body slam
      • Violent ramming rush inflicting status ailments
      • Sharp pivot and rear kick
      Strategy
      • Keep Antibody, Energyshot, and Metabolism fully active.
      • When it leaps off-screen and roars from above, do not stop moving: sprint in circles to prevent it from landing on your head.
      • Necrosis Parasite Energy melts its mutated hide: cast it to maintain continuous poison damage, finishing it off with shotgun blasts or 5.56mm rifle bursts.
